Well, he has until Christmas to sort it out (luckily we have a nice big kitchen we usually eat in) - I'll keep you posted!

Is there any significane to the fact that "paterfamilias" changed to "my husband" when he retired?
None whatsoever BB, in my usage they are interchangeable; the 'pater' of this particular 'familias' being 'my husband':-)
